You can ask us to delete your Bellweather Project account at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what gets removed, and what we’re required to keep.
How to request deletion
There are two ways:
- Email us. Send a deletion request from the email address on your account to support@stratis.ai. We’ll confirm receipt and process the deletion within 30 days.
- In-app.If you’re using the Tuner, go to your profile and choose “delete account.” Confirmation is required. Once you confirm, your account is queued for deletion immediately and removed within 30 days.
What we delete
- Your account record (email, display name, profile photo, designation).
- Your Echo unlocks (the personal record of which Echoes you have revealed).
- Your Echo submissions, comments, discussion posts, and replies.
- Your push notification token.
- Your linked Stratis Auth identity (the underlying sign-in record).
- Files you uploaded (avatars, photos attached to submissions).
What we keep
- Your captures. The Resonance Points you tuned and the captures you contributed remain part of the shared map. Captures help everyone navigate the field and surface Fundamentals, and removing them would erase progress that belongs to the community as a whole. After your account is deleted, the link tying those captures to your name and email is removed; the spatial record of the capture itself stays.
- Aggregated and anonymized analytics. Once your data has been aggregated (e.g., total captures by region, total active users in a week) and stripped of anything that identifies you, we may retain it for product analysis. You will not be identifiable in this data.
- Records we are legally required to keep. Tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and other records that we are obligated to retain under applicable law. These are kept only for as long as the law requires and are accessible only to authorized personnel.
- Backup copies. Encrypted backups may contain copies of deleted data for a short rotation period (typically up to 90 days) before they are overwritten. We do not restore deleted accounts from backup.
Timeline
Most deletions complete within 30 days. We’ll send a confirmation email when your account has been removed. If a deletion takes longer because of legal hold or technical issues, we’ll let you know.
Heads-up before you go
- Account deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account once it has been deleted.
- If you only want to take a break, you can sign out instead. Your account stays as it is.
- If you want a copy of your data before deletion, request an export at the same time.
